State Law requires all dogs be licensed in the area that they live. If your Dog is lost or injured this identification makes it possible to contact the dog owner.

1. Contact Livermore City Hall Finance Department to obtain a license. Be ready to provide them with current rabies vaccine information from a licensed veterinarian and documentation if your dog has bee spayed or neutered. Licenses can be purchased by mail or in person. Contact city Dog licensing for further information at 960-4315.
2. After you have purchased the license, the citation will need to be signed by a police department employee. Contact the police department for office hours at 371-4900.
3. Take or mail your signed citation or notice from the court to the Superior Court before the due date. If you are not able to obtain a dog license and have your citation cleared before the due date contact the court or your citation will turn into a traffic warrant.
