State Law requires all dogs be licensed in the area that they live. If your Dog is lost or injured this identification makes it possible to contact the dog owner.
- Contact Livermore City Hall Finance Department to obtain a license. Be ready to provide them with current rabies vaccine information from a licensed veterinarian and documentation if your dog has bee spayed or neutered. Licenses can be purchased by mail or in person. - After you have purchased the license, the citation will need to be signed by a police department employee. Contact the police department for office hours at 371-4900.
- Take or mail your signed citation or notice from the court to the Superior Court before the due date. If you are not able to obtain a dog license and have your citation cleared before the due date contact the court or your citation will turn into a traffic warrant.
