All fireworks are prohibited in the City of Livermore, including “safe and sane” fireworks purchased in other cities.
Under Livermore’s fireworks ordinance, property owners or people responsible for a gathering may be held liable if fireworks are discharged on their property and the person using them cannot be identified. Administrative citations of up to $500 may be issued.
Fireworks can cause serious injuries, start fires, and disrupt neighborhoods. They can also create significant stress for pets, veterans, and other community members.
Livermore Police will have additional officers on patrol in the days leading up to and following the Fourth of July to help keep the community safe.
