April 1st marks a meaningful milestone in Livermore’s history and the continued legacy of service by the Livermore Police Department.
On this day in 1876, Livermore was officially incorporated as a city. The Livermore Police Department was also established that same year.
Nearly 150 years later, we honor that legacy and the generations of those who have served with dedication, integrity, and pride.
Starting April 1, Livermore Police Department officers can wear commemorative 150-year anniversary badges, and our professional staff are proudly wearing anniversary pins. Together, these symbols reflect our shared commitment to protecting and serving the Livermore community.
Here’s to 150 years of service and to the future ahead.
