Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Livermore

On October 27, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Livermore Police Department responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Paseo Laguna Seco and Portola Avenue.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 61-year-old Livermore resident was driving southbound on Paseo Laguna Seco and made a left turn onto Portola Avenue. At the same time, a 47-year-old Livermore motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Portola Avenue, and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Paramedics arrived within minutes, but tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Both directions of Portola Avenue and Paseo Laguna Seco were temporarily closed while officers investigated. Traffic was rerouted through nearby neighborhoods.

The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the motorcyclist’s identity once next of kin have been notified.
