On September 22, 2025, around 4 a.m., Livermore Police responded to a collision involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle at the intersection of Airway Boulevard and Isabel Avenue.
Preliminary findings suggest that a 37-year-old motorcyclist from Livermore was stopped at the traffic light on westbound Airway Boulevard, preparing to turn right onto northbound Isabel Avenue. As the rider began the turn, the rider lost control of the motorcycle, traveled across Isabel Avenue, and struck a vehicle that was slowing for the red light while preparing to turn left. The motorcycle then collided with a concrete barrier. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old from Modesto, was the sole occupant. He called 911 immediately and has been cooperating with investigators.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the rider’s identity once next of kin have been notified.
One southbound lane of Isabel Avenue near Interstate 580 was closed for approximately four hours for the investigation and roadway cleanup.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Livermore Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (925) 371-4850.
