Livermore Police Arrest 25-Year-Old in Connection with Drive-By Shooting ​

On July 8, 2025, Livermore Police arrested 25-year-old Jesus Andrade of Livermore in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier this month. Andrade was taken into custody without incident as he was leaving his home.

 

Detectives from the Livermore Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau developed investigative leads that identified the suspect vehicle and ultimately led to Andrade’s arrest. Evidence collected during the investigation linked him to the July 5 shooting. Andrade was booked into Santa Rita Jail on charges of shooting from a vehicle and assault with a firearm. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has reviewed the case and filed formal charges.

 

The shooting occurred on July 5, 2025, just before 2 a.m. in the 300 block of Chestnut Street. Officers arrived to find a 27-year-old Livermore resident suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate medical aid, and the victim was transported to a local hospital. He has since been released and is recovering. Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related.
