Livermore Police Seize Multiple Firearms, Ammunition and Narcotics

Post Date:11/05/2024
In October 2024, the Livermore Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit received information about a man selling firearms illegally from his home in Livermore.

On October 24, 2024, Livermore Police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence on Sunstream Lane. Officers seized 10 firearms, including an un-serialized AR-15 rifle, two Glock pistols, a shotgun, two revolvers, five additional rifles, numerous rounds of ammunition, and high-capacity magazines.

Police also discovered two 3D printers and a significant quantity of firearm precursor parts, including unfinished pistol frames, unfinished milled AR-15 lowers, and an AR-15 block. Officers believe these parts were intended for the manufacture of privately made firearms.
In addition, officers found methamphetamine, opiate pills (such as Norco), a scale, baggies, and cash in various denominations. Based on the suspected narcotics, along with the baggies, cash, and scale, officers believe the items were intended for sale.

The suspect, 49-year-old Jesse Strickland of Livermore, was arrested and faces multiple felony charges including possession of a firearm; possession and manufacture of undetectable firearms; possession of ammunition; possession of large-capacity magazines; possession of methamphetamine; and possession of a controlled substance for sale. Strickland was booked into Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.

This case has been submitted to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for review and charging.
