To better enhance communication and service to the public, the Livermore Police Department has launched a new police subsite – police.livermoreca.gov – dedicated to public safety information, services and resources.
The new subsite is part of the main City of Livermore website and hopes to provide a user-friendly experience for community members, businesses and visitors.
The subsite will promote police services and serve as a critical tool to educate the community about police operations.
“Our priority is to ensure the department’s services are accessible to the public,” said Livermore Police Chief Jeramy Young. “Our new subsite reinforces the department’s commitment to transparency and accountability.”
Among the site’s features:
▪️Visually appealing and easy to navigate for information based on topics
▪️Focus on recruiting new officers and professional staff
▪️Section on the homepage for video spotlights of police officers and professional staff
▪️Section on the homepage promoting transparency and accountability
▪️Calendar and news sections focused on police events
Livermore Police staff evaluated current pages with high visitor traffic, reviewed other police department websites and worked with the City of Livermore staff on developing content for the new subsite.
