LPD Arrests Two for Kidnapping, Carjacking

On Jan. 5, 2024, a Livermore resident reported to police he had been the victim of a robbery. In early December of 2023, the adult male victim enlisted 59-year-old Enrique Ballesteros of Livermore to work on his classic Chevrolet C10 truck.

 On Jan. 3, 2024, Ballesteros and his co-defendant 46-year-old Ricardo Sahor of Livermore kidnapped, carjacked and robbed the victim of his belongings to include cash, an electric mountain bicycle, mechanic tools, and his Chevrolet C10 truck.

On Feb. 29, 2024, after a thorough investigation, detectives from Livermore Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested Ballesteros and Sahor for multiple violent crimes. Following the arrests, Livermore Police detectives recovered some of the victim’s stolen property including the Chevrolet C10 truck which was located in the City of Sutter Creek. Livermore Police also recovered a stolen trailer associated to an unrelated case.

On March 4, 2024, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Ballesteros and Sahor with carjacking, robbery, kidnapping, criminal threats, and burglary to include enhancements for weapons violations during the commission of a violent crime.

No additional information will be provided as the case has been turned over to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office
