Participants will receive presentations on various roles within LPD and the dynamics of the Law Enforcement profession. Some topics included are Patrol Procedures, De-Escalation and Use of Force, Dispatch, Records, Traffic, Horizons Family Counseling, Investigations, and much more! Participants will also be offered a Scenario/Demonstration Day, Patrol ride-a-long and Dispatch sit-a-long, and a tour of the police facility.

The academy currently runs 14 weeks long and meets generally every Wednesday from 6pm-9:30pm. This is a free program offered to community members who live and/or work in the City of Livermore. There are no physical requirements to attend.
